Informazioni generali

Immigrants and refugees from war-torn and politically unstable countries leave their homes in search of a better life. They leave their personal belongings, wealth, relatives and friends behind, not by choice but under persecution. They travel in dangerous conditions and land on land to be confronted by money scammers who exploit them as they have no identity to prove who they are. This project will provide identity to these immigrants and refugees that will help them access their rights.

Caratteristiche fondamentali

All migrant workers have rights as workers, regardless of their immigration status. However, they are often subject to abuse and exploitation. They are unlikely to file complaints with their employers or the authorities, especially if they are undocumented. They could lose their only source of income, they could be locked up or deported. They may turn to unscrupulous intermediaries, willing to exploit their vulnerability by finding them even more risky jobs.
